COMPUTERS......HOW CUTE,NA....!!!!

Computers provoke and fascinate us.They are all around us now,and are likely to be so far a while now. Inevitably, they seem to provoke a strong response: some simply cannot do without them, while others look on the computer as a source of annoyance. But perhaps you would be better off if you could look beyond these sorts of responces.Neither it is a miracle working magic box,nor a new fangled nuisence. When used wisely, the computer can be a help,in virtually every field of your daily lives.
Functions Of A Computer:
Accepting Data:A Computer Can accept data from the user.
Processing Data:The accepted data can then be processed through a command,or series of commands.
Storing Data:The computers also offer you the facility of storing data for future reference, and use.
Retrieving Data:The stored data can be retrieved from the memory of the computer whenever required.
USAGE OF A COMPUTER:
Initially used in exclusively scientific and mathematical fields, the computer has immensely broadened the field of its application. One of the earliest field of practical application of the computer was in decoding enemy messages in wartime. Then came their use in space research, and computers were utilised for building control systems for events like the moon landing.Currently however, the greatest number of computers are being used in commerce and business. The folowing instances may give you some idea about the manifold uses of computers in our day-to day lives:
In weather forecasting and in research involving the earth's atmosphere,Data supplied by a worldwide network of space satellites and ground stations are fed into super-computers.These data are then analysed by a series of programmes to arrive at forecasts.
The Indian Airlines Computers can make around 30,000 entries of reservations in an hour- an that, too, from all over the country!!Computers not only make reservations more efficiently, but also eliminates the hazards and labour of manual systems.
